ITSM Crowd Jigsaw Special Series: Volume 3

Have you had the chance to watch the finale of the ITSM Crowd Jigsaw Special Series devoted to our new publication “The Jigsaw Organization”?

In “The Jigsaw Organization”, experts and consultants from all over the world share their practical advice on how you can build something better, more specifically, how to rebuild your organization for the future. With topics ranging from leadership to business continuity and resilience, from agility to sourcing, you’ll find inspiration that will allow you to create positive changes.

Related to this, experts and consultants were special guests on the ITSM Crowd Jigsaw Special Series: Volume 3 and they shared their Top Tips.

The host was Claire Agutter and we want to say an enormous thanks to her and ITSM Zone for hosting these episode.

For those who missed it, it was a day full of experts and practical advice on how to rebuild your organization for the future – no matter what that looks like.

Jigsaw Special: SIAM Deep Dive

The third part of the Series kicked off with Jigsaw Organization contributors Ian Groves, Pat Williams and Ian Thomas. Claire Agutter and her guests talked about how supplier management and effective supply chain integration have been crucial in 2020.

Establishing trust and building relationships between customers and suppliers, between suppliers within a SIAM ecosystem and of course between the customer, the service integrator and the suppliers, will becoming increasingly important.

As well, the guests discussed how, while the key principles of SIAM haven’t changed, SIAM communities need to work hard to maintain communication and collaboration when teams are separated.

Watch the episode and get their expert insights on these questions.

Jigsaw Special: Structure, Skills and People

Later that evening, Claire Agutter was joined by Jigsaw Organization authors Karen Ferris and Matthew Burrow. The final episode of the ITSM Crowd Jigsaw Special Series was all about how a clear understanding of people and skills has supported organizations in 2020.

Technology has a huge role to play but must not be our only focus. Organizations need to understand the skills they have, and the skills they will need for the future.

Simply put, It doesn’t matter how clever we are with the tools and technology, it still requires people with the right knowledge, skills and competencies to make it all work.

“The pandemic has enforced disruption on organizations but also given them time to reflect on lessons learnt, observe the changes they were able to make and build something better for the future. It is these organizations that will not only survive but thrive in the post-pandemic world”, said Karen Ferris.

There has never been a better time to throw out the jigsaw and adopt an approach that allows adaptation, agility, and versatility.
