What will you learn?

You’ve heard a lot about SIAM and perhaps you’ve read the SIAM Bodies of Knowledge.  However, do you know how to successfully implement SIAM and make it ‘real’ for your organization?

Both Steve and Ian have first-hand practical experience of designing, implementing and operating SIAM operating models, gained across multiple customer engagements in both the private and public sector.

The workshop agenda will allow attendees to vote on the issues that are of most interest to them, followed by facilitated group work and advice related to those topics.

“The workshop offers attendees the opportunity to get real-world experience. We’ll ask attendees to vote for the topics we cover, so the attendees drive the content.  This means they’ll be sure to get their issues discussed and resolved”, says Steve Morgan.

“This workshop gives you the opportunity to discuss your SIAM questions, issues and challenges with two of the UK’s most experienced SIAM practitioners. Perhaps you are at the beginning of your SIAM journey and want to validate your approach or perhaps you have a real-world issue that you just can’t seem to breakthrough? Whatever it is, this is your chance to draw upon our collective experience and collaborate with others in the workshop”, adds Ian Groves.

About the hosts

Steve Morgan

Steve Morgan is Director of Syniad IT, a specialist consulting firm, specialising in IT operating model assessment, design and implementation. Steve has extensive experience of running and improving IT organisations, having worked with some of the world’s most complex and challenging companies. Steve has worked on the UK’s most high profile SIAM programmes, and is part of the SIAM author team for many SIAM publications.

Ian Groves

Ian Groves was born and raised in in the North East of England but have spent most of my adult life in Norfolk. I originally qualified as a Pharmacist, but after many years of working in retail I decided that a change of career was needed. I was lucky enough to find employment with ICL, some 20 years ago, who were looking for people with lots of customer skills and no IT experience. A perfect match and the rest is history. I have spent the intervening years developing my IT service management and consulting expertise and have worked extensively across Europe. Having left Fujitsu in 2018 to start Syamic with Pat, we have seen the demand for SIAM expertise grow rapidly.

Accredited Service Integration and Management (SIAM) professional, specialising in Target Operating Model design, SIAM governance frameworks and the development of training courses.
