The community continues to grow and now includes more than 50 hours of on-demand content. Working with our community will be very important as part of the planned body of knowledge refresh.

They are expanding in Southeast Asia, and have strengthened their presence in Benelux, Japan, DACH and India. They also see strong SIAM demand in the public sector around the world.
Updates on previous meeting topics
The Scopism team shared some updates on topics discussed at the previous leadership council meeting. These included:
- SIAM becoming more strategic/enterprise SIAM adoption: this will be incorporated into the BoK refresh
- SIAM and ISO: part 14 of ISO20000 is now live, and Scopism will support any development of a specific SIAM ISO standard
- SIAM in North America: Scopism has hosted two online events targeted at the USA audience, which can be reviewed here and here
- SIAM+ AI: this will also be part of the upcoming BoK refresh, and we have prepared for this by hosting a month dedicated to SIAM+ AI events in the community, and by adding an AI question set to the 2024 Global SIAM Survey
Claire Agutter also shared more information about the launch of Scopism SIAM Assured, the new accreditation for SIAM service providers, consultancy and advisory organizations, and tooling providers. You can read more about SSA here.

SIAM Body of Knowledge Refresh
Simon Dorst and Michelle Major-Goldsmith gave a short presentation about the BoK refresh planned for 2025. This will include a layered approach, with a SIAM core that will remain stable and more detailed compendiums that can change as the industry evolves. The Foundation and Professional BoK will be updated and will form the ‘core’ of the model, and compendiums will address topics such as Agile, DevOps, Lean, AI, Procurement etc. from a SIAM perspective. We’ll be hosting a virtual event on Dec 4th to share more information and to ask for volunteers, so please look out for that.
Reflections
Overall the meeting was very successful with excellent contributions from all attendees reflecting their knowledge and experience. These meetings provide important direction for the Scopism SIAM community, and our goal is to keep the membership of the council stable for the next 12 months to support the BoK refresh.
