For the Council to be successful, it must allow all the involved parties to collaborate in a productive, safe and fun way. Just like in a SIAM ecosystem, we have different organizations working together to produce great things.

Scopism SIAM Community Update
Steph Ward, Scopism’s community manager, provided an update on community membership and growth. With more than 3,700 members from 104 countries, the community represents SIAM practitioners around the world. 34% of community members report that they have an ‘interest in SIAM but are not currently using it’, also demonstrating strong opportunities for further SIAM growth.
With the community now approaching its second birthday, Steph shared that to date more than 233 events have been held, ranging from socials and working groups to webinars and research groups. You can see past events in the online community here and watch our webinar series on YouTube here.
Education Partner Update from EXIN
Namrata Sahoo and Suzanne Galletly from Scopism’s education partner EXIN provided an update from the world of SIAM training and certification. Suzanne shared an overview of EXIN’s career paths and how SIAM relates to AI. She also discussed the ‘S’ shape professional concept. Namrata provided an update on global sales and the recent collaboration between EXIN and Scopism at their offices in Utrecht to discuss the effective positioning of SIAM to organizations.
Scopism and SIAM Updates
Claire Agutter shared some recent updates, including the new partnerships that are helping Scopism to spread the SIAM message. With new regional partnerships (Integris Applied, Americas and Fox ITSM, Africa) and a new content partnership with the XLA Institute, Scopism is well-positioned to promote SIAM in new geographies and sectors.
Claire also provided an update on Scopism SIAM Assured, the organizational accreditation scheme launched by Scopism in October 2024. HCLTech have now completed their accreditation, and the second and third organizations are in the accreditation process. Scopism sees SSA as a positive for both service providers and customers, helping to set the standard for the SIAM market.
This year’s Global SIAM Survey will also launch soon, and all council members were requested to share this with their networks. The 2025 survey is sponsored by Stefanini.
2025 Body of Knowledge Refresh
The final agenda item was an update on the Scopism SIAM Body of Knowledge refresh. With more than 140 volunteers from the community and led by architects Simon Dorst, Michelle Major-Goldsmith and Claire Agutter, the 2025 refresh will create version 3.0 of the SIAM Body of Knowledge. The existing Foundation and Professional publications will be updated, and new Compendiums will be added. Compendiums are short publications addressing topical content, practical applications of SIAM, and how SIAM relates to other areas. Compendiums will address subjects including SIAM and AI, a SIAM ‘quick start’ guide, SIAM and experience management, and much more.
The official launch for the new content is Service North on November 3rd in Manchester, UK. You can learn more and book your ticket here.
Any Other Business?
The Council also addressed the topic of SIAM awareness – some of the council members shared that they need to explain SIAM before they can start to have more detailed conversations about it. Attendees discussed this topic and the Scopism team agreed to take it away for further thought.
Next Meeting
The next council meeting will be on November 4th. This meeting will be face to face, the day after Service North.
