Tell us a bit about yourselves
Cranford Executive are an independent, senior level, executive search recruitment company based in Leeds but operating UK wide and globally. We have a strong focus on IT, in particular, C-Level IT, SIAM and ITSM and work with clients from a number of different sectors including Telecommunications, Government, Rail, Betting and Gaming, Public Sector, Software Testing and Managed Services.
As an organisation, over the last 12 months alone we’ve delivered teams to Government departments including high security clearance overseas, and made numerous senior placements including a Service Delivery Director, CTO and a Programme Director.
Why is SIAM a hot topic for 2017?
As organisations grow, so too does their requirement for IT solutions – the problem is that these are often sourced from different service providers, so the various services need to be integrated and managed effectively and efficiently.
Year on year more organisations are outsourcing their IT. By 2016, 31% of IT services were outsourced, and organisations will continue to do so for the years to come, says Deloitte.
In turn, this has led to a growing need for SIAM professionals – experienced IT Service Delivery managers and SMEs who know how to combine internal and external resources to create a comprehensive managed solution, that provides a smooth and reliable service for all end-users.

My background started out within Solution Sales selling CA Technology and Consultancy for 4 years before I moved into Recruitment in 2004. For the last 5 Years I have been focussing on Retained Search and Head Hunting within Technology and IT Leadership and specialise in placing CTOs, CIOs and IT Directors.
