Scopism News: Awards, Helicopters and more

It’s been a busy first quarter here at Scopism!  We can’t believe it’s already 3 weeks since we hosted the world’s first SIAM conference.  Here’s a quick roundup of some highlights:

Scopism supports Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Kerry Garner from YAA was our charity keynote at Service North: SIAM edition in Leeds in March.  Kerry’s presentation focused on the work of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance as well as its funding.  For an IT crowd, there were some very familiar terms including a service desk, incidents, response times and prioritisation. It just goes to show that the challenges are often the same even when the process or outcome is different.

We are truly delighted to support their work and make a donation to keep the helicopters flying.  The overwhelmingly positive feedback for Kerry’s talk proves there is room for a different perspective at our industry events.

Service managers of the future attend Service North

Among our 100 delegates at the Service North event we welcomed some undergraduates from Leeds City College, attending on places kindly sponsored by Cranford Executive and ITSM Zone.  The students all enjoyed getting a taste of their first professional conference and meeting some of their possible future employers.
