The Core (SIAM Foundation and SIAM Professional) focuses on stable SIAM principles. Compendiums are shorter publications that are updated more frequently and explore emerging topics and intersections with other practices and technologies.

The Scopism SIAM Content Council (a group of volunteers) governs updates and new publications. Compendiums are updated more frequently, new Compendiums are published each year, and each Compendium includes a feedback mechanism to gather practitioner input. Read more about the Content Council here.
