Did you know?

In the most recent Global SIAM Survey (2025), 37% of organizations report that they use AI within their SIAM model.

Why it matters:

  • AI is moving from experimentation to early operational use in SIAM
  • AI increases the need for shared data standards, tooling integration, and clear handoffs across providers
  • Governance and assurance need to cover automated recommendations/actions (who approves, who is accountable, how exceptions are handled)
  • Strong foundations (process clarity & data quality) determine whether AI improves outcomes or adds risk

What to do next:

  • Define AI guardrails in integrated governance (decision rights, auditability, escalation)
  • Agree cross-provider data requirements (taxonomy, severity, SLAs/XLAs, knowledge)
  • Start with controlled use cases (e.g., triage, routing, knowledge suggestions) and measure impact end-to-end
