Doing good things together – Manchester Youth Zone has joined Service North 2026 as our event charity partner.

Service North has always been about community and every year, it brings together people from different organizations, countries and areas of service management to share their knowledge, build relationships and work towards better outcomes.

very year, we want the impact of that community to extend beyond the conference itself. We are therefore delighted to announce Manchester Youth Zone as the official charity partner for Service North 2026.

About Manchester Youth Zone

Based in Harpurhey, Manchester Youth Zone provides a safe, welcoming and inclusive place for young people across North Manchester. Young people can take part in sports, arts, cultural activities and skills programmes, access hot and nutritious meals, and receive mentoring and emotional support from trusted youth workers. The charity also delivers life skills and employability programmes, alongside inclusive support for young people with additional needs up to the age of 25.

This practical help is combined with something equally valuable: a place where young people feel that they belong.

The challenges facing many young people in North Manchester are significant. Manchester Youth Zone reports that 94% of its members live in some of the UK’s most deprived areas. Poverty, poor mental health, social isolation and barriers to education and employment can all limit opportunities from an early age.

Manchester Youth Zone works to change that by raising aspirations, building confidence and helping young people create pathways towards positive futures. Between April and June 2026 alone, the charity welcomed 1,494 individual young people through its doors, served 9,020 hot meals and delivered 423 hours of universal youth provision.

Meet Manchester Youth Zone on Nov 2nd

Manchester Youth Zone will be introduced during the opening session at Service North on 2 November. Delegates will also have the opportunity to learn more about its work and the difference their support could make. We are very proud to welcome the charity into the Service North community and look forward to helping its important work reach a new audience.
